MINING magnate Manuel Zamora Jr. had to cancel a $180-million initial public offering (IPO) of stock in Toronto last week over poor pricing and lukewarm reception.
Zamora was offering to list 35.7 percent of his Philippine-based Nickel Asia Corp. at C$12-C$14 a share, but apparently institutional investors, factoring in the so-called Philippine discount, want the issue priced at the C$10 level instead. Read more
